The 10 year treasury yield has climbed back over 3.0. This upward move is the first time we have seen the 10 year yield above 3.0 since July 8th. Although the 10 year treasury yield has again moved above 3.0 it is the still below the recent high of 3.395% hit on June 15th. The climb in the 10 year treasury has primarily been precipitated by investor nervousness about recent comments by the Fed. These Fed comments have been viewed as hawkish on future rate increases and continued inflation. Following the 10 year treasury yield, the 30 year fixed rate mortgage is up .25% since mid last week.
